Simply right

Clear. Human. On equal footing. I translate legal matters into understandable language and advocate for fair solutions.

Reason as a compass. Humanity as a principle.

Reason is my compass. My goal is to develop solutions that stand the test of time: legally sound, economically sensible, and humanly responsible. That requires analysis, clear communication, and sometimes the right sense of humor — especially when lightness can open doors that arguments alone cannot.

Empowering people. Creating opportunities. Opening perspectives.

It is important to me to contribute beyond the boundaries of the law firm. For many years, I have supported heartfelt initiatives such as Motherland Pioneers e.V. and Pro Namibian Children e.V.. For me, this is not about sponsorship alone, but about genuine care: creating opportunities, opening perspectives, and supporting people along their path.

Movement as a principle — in life as in thought.

And finally, movement. Anyone who knows me understands that standing still has never suited me. Whether through sports, nature, or travel, trying new things is part of who I am. To me, movement means more than physical activity; it represents mental agility, curiosity, and the willingness to leave familiar paths behind. It is this mindset that shapes my work — attentive, dynamic, and always searching for the best possible form.

Legally precise. Human-centered. Internationally experienced.

Lawyer with Vision and Integrity

As a lawyer, I think in systems and bring clarity to complexity. At the same time, I carry the mindset that sport demands as well: discipline, focus, and endurance.

This mindset shapes my work: legal precision, entrepreneurial instinct, and a solution-driven, persistent approach that goes far beneath the surface.

My professional path has taken me from international commercial law firms to senior in-house counsel positions within European corporations, and ultimately to establishing my own practice.

Each stage has broadened my perspective and shaped my individual way of working.

Curiosity and a thirst for knowledge have always accompanied me. To me, continuing education has never been a “nice to have,” but a prerequisite for doing good work.

Whether as a certified executor of wills (AGT), a qualified supervisory board member, or a systemic organizational consultant and mediator.

Almost by chance, I discovered systemic work — and realized how remarkably valuable it can also be in legal contexts. It reveals what truly lies at the heart of conflicts.

Today, it is an integral part of my work — especially in complex matters, where it continues to prove its value time and again.

Education and Qualifications

Stations that shaped my perspective

Cologne, Constance, Lausanne, Strasbourg, Paris, and London – my legal education was intentionally international.

What I gained goes beyond law: a deep understanding of cultural nuances, systemic interrelations, and the ability to view complex matters from multiple perspectives.

In doing so, I combine professional expertise with a strong sense of nuance and an awareness of dynamics that extend beyond the purely legal framework.

This applies equally to entrepreneurial families, supervisory boards, estate planning matters, and couples navigating separation. I firmly believe that fair solutions can only succeed when they are both legally sound and humanly sustainable. Otherwise, they often fail in practice.

As a supervisory board member, I support companies — particularly medium-sized businesses as well as organizations in the sports and media industries — at the level of strategic corporate governance.

And finally, my passion for sports is also part of my professional life. I advise professional athletes as well as companies within the industry and am a member of the Sports Law Working Group of the German Bar Association (DAV).

„Dr. Andrea Nehl is an exceptional family lawyer — compassionate, yet clear and direct, with an impressive combination of empathy and determination. She supported us through a difficult period in our lives — our divorce — while always maintaining a calm, solution-oriented perspective. What makes her truly special is her ability to speak plainly without ever being hurtful. She genuinely listens, understands what truly matters, and gets to the heart of even the most complex situations.

Her way of ‘setting things straight’ is not only professionally strong, but also deeply wise on a human level. Thanks to her, the process never became more difficult than necessary — quite the opposite: she made it manageable, functional, and straightforward. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance. A wholehearted recommendation for anyone seeking a truly outstanding lawyer during an exceptional family situation.”

„Many believe they have only a legal problem. In reality, it is almost always about something deeper – structures, relationships, and dynamics.“
