This information is temporarily stored in so-called log files. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until automated deletion:

The above data is processed for the following purposes:

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes listed above for data collection. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

In addition, we use cookies and analytics services when you visit our website. Further explanations can be found under sections 4 and 5 of this privacy policy.

Disclosure of Data

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

We only disclose your personal data to third parties if:

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not damage your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malicious software.

Information stored in cookies is related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our website more convenient for you. For example, we use session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our site.

In addition, we use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness. These remain stored on your device for a specified period. If you revisit our website to use our services, it is automatically recognized that you have visited us before and which inputs and settings you made, so that you do not have to enter them again.

We also use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our services for you (see section 5). These cookies allow us to recognize automatically that you have already visited our website upon your next visit. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period.

The data processed through cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned above to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a notification always appears before a new cookie is created. Please note, however, that completely disabling cookies may mean that you cannot use all functions of our website.

Our website will in future support the processing of PIMS signals in accordance with the EinwV for simplified consent management. You can centrally manage your cookie settings via a compatible service.

Analytics Tools

a) Tracking Tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures used, we aim to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. Furthermore, we use tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our services for you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

i) Google Analytics

For the purpose of tailoring and continuously optimizing our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”).

In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as:

is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The information is used to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and needs-based design of these websites. This information may also be transferred to third parties where required by law or where third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. IP addresses are anonymized so that assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Alternatively, particularly for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents future collection of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help Center:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245

ii) Google Ads Conversion Tracking

To statistically record the use of our website and optimize it for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. Google Ads sets a cookie on your computer if you reached our website via a Google advertisement.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the website of the Ads customer and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to that page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this purpose — for example, by adjusting your browser settings to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”.

Google’s privacy policy regarding conversion tracking can be found here:

Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right:

Right to Object

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data, provided there are reasons arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct marketing.

To exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, simply send an email to:

Data Security

During your visit to our website, we use the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Usually, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we instead use 128-bit v3 technology. Whether a page is transmitted in encrypted form can be recognized by the closed lock symbol in your browser’s status bar.

We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
